The Center for Liberty is led by a small, dedicated group of believers who have answered God’s call to proclaim liberty in Christ, defend truth, and serve the vulnerable. Each leader brings unique experience, passion, and a heart for God’s kingdom. Together we stand in humility, relying on His grace to equip and mobilize others for the work ahead.
Meet the people guiding this ministry as we advance life, liberty, justice, and hope in Southwest Florida and beyond.
Rachael Humes is the founder and leader of The Center for Liberty, a faith-based ministry dedicated to proclaiming and defending God-given liberty rooted in Scripture.
A lifelong resident of Lee County, Rachael was born and raised here and has remained deeply committed to her community throughout her life. As a wife, mother of three adult children, and grandmother to two, she values family deeply and sees strong homes as foundational to a free and faithful society.
Professionally, Rachael is a private Christian educator and an entrepreneur in the vacation rental industry. She has founded two private Christian schools, pouring her heart into educating and discipling the next generation in biblical truth and excellence.
Rachael seeks to lead in dependence on God’s grace, trusting He has placed her here for such a time as this—to be salt and light in Southwest Florida and beyond.

Originally from Michigan, Cara earned her degrees in Business Administration and enjoyed a successful career with Chrysler Corporation before retiring. She and her husband have owned a home in Florida for the past 12 years and now live here full time in North Fort Myers.
Her Christian faith is the cornerstone of her life. Cara and her husband cherish working on their farm—growing their own food—and leading Bible studies in their neighborhood and community. They also enjoy cruise vacations and staying active in their 55+ community.
Cara’s commitment to biblical truth, service, and community makes her a vital part of our team as we proclaim liberty in Christ and stand for justice, life, and hope.

As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Chris values family deeply and sees strong stewardship as an extension of caring for God’s people and purposes.
In his role, Chris handles the ministry’s finances with diligence and care, supporting the team’s work to proclaim liberty in Christ, protect the vulnerable, and advance God’s kingdom through truth and love.

Pina Tondo serves as Chairwoman of Liberty & Justice for All, the anti-human trafficking ministry of The Center for Liberty.
After more than 50 years in New York, Pina relocated to Florida in 2023, where she continues her lifelong commitment to service and leadership. A proud Mother of three, she brings deep compassion and a heart for the vulnerable to her work. At home, she enjoys time with her beloved dog Ripple, who is very much part of her family.
Professionally, Pina is a Financial Representative and Benefits Specialist, helping families and business owners protect their financial well-being. Previously, she owned and led a successful credit and collection agency, building a reputation for integrity and excellence.
For over 18 years, Pina has been a dedicated voice in the fight against human trafficking, focusing on education, awareness, advocacy, and support for victims and survivors. She served the Republican Party as Chairman for Human Trafficking Prevention initiatives in Lee County and leads Liberty & Justice for All with the same passion for justice, mercy, and restoration.
